BL Technology was incorporated in 1974. The original owners were Mr. Robert Beese and Mr. Robert Lee. Mr. Lee became sole owner in 1993, and Deborah Lee became majority owner in 2004. In 2006 BL Technology became a Certified Woman Owned Business.
BL Technology’s corporate office and production facility is located just north of Houston in Tomball, Texas. Designed and built specifically for control system fabrication, our UL 508A and Hazardous Location certified shop offers state-of-the-art design, production and testing facilities. BL Technology’s attention to detail and quality inspires us to maintain ISO 9001 certification.
The facility is approximately 17,000 Sq. Ft., where a staff of approximately 53 members are employed. The production area is 3,600 Sq. Ft. with an addition 3,600 Sq. Ft. dedicated to warehouse and secured material storage. The facility also boasts a 600 Sq. Ft. clean room that is dedicated to system QC testing, FAT testing, and is available to customers for testing and training prior to equipment installation.
Since 2000, BL Technology has been involved in over 1500 control, security, and fire system projects; ranging from simplex lift station control panels, to fully integrated SCADA and process systems that include access control, video surveillance and fire alarm systems. One larger project included 32 redundant PLC processors communicating over a fiber optic Ethernet backbone with 11 HMI stations, and total I/O’s in excess of 10,000. Another included security systems for over 85 schools for Houston Independent School District. Our largest project to date was valued at just under \ million for the City of Houston.
